The Arts

The Arts

As part of our goal to provide a well-rounded education, Tyger Valley College is proud to be able to expose our pupils to a variety of arts in a strong and diverse cultural environment. Pupils are given the opportunity and are encouraged to participate in a number of cultural activities and events throughout the year, be it in the role of performer or audience member.

The role of cultural education and the arts plays a critical role in the development of any child into that of a well-rounded member of society. The benefits in learning any of the arts, appreciation of the arts, and incorporating cultural education into the curriculum is well researched and studied both locally and internationally. Among the immensely valuable skills taught by participation in the arts is the capacity for self-refection and self-evaluation.

Our school is actively involved in the cultural community in the area, collaborating in a variety of events with schools in the east of Pretoria. All pf the staff and independent contractors involved in the Arts and Culture environment at Tyger Valley College are exceptionally talented artists, who are passionate about education and highly qualified in their field of study.
